You know, the tie wasn’t backwards in all of S4. In fact it was messed up after Dean and Cass’ misadventures at that brothel. So the backwards tie seems to be Cass’ thing than Jimmy’s. :)

This is a nitpick but I’ll let it stand.

Fine. Cas’s tie wasn’t backwards until season 5. Jimmy was still wearing his tie really wrong in Lazarus Rising, so it’s easy to get confused. It’s not backwards, just horrible.

(x) Ties aren’t supposed to go past your belt, Jimmy.

Regardless, that wasn’t even the point of my comments about Jimmy being a mess. I’m assuming, anon, you were referring to my comments about Claire fixing Cas’s tie and not my dcj flailings about how they’re both shit dressers? B/c if this was about the Cas and Claire post the point is that when Claire was preforming a domestic action for Cas it was meant to invoke the third person who wasn’t really there. The point is less about the tie and more about the fact that when Claire says “now you look like a dad,” she’s probably thinking of her dad who Cas obviously looks like but will never be. The point is that it dressing him up like her father, the way her mother probably did when she actually had a normal family, Claire invokes Jimmy’s ghost and all the baggage that goes with it. The tie really doesn’t matter that much.

Dean and Cas sometimes being in the mood and picking up someone for a threesome – thoughts?

Jesus. They need Jesus.

They need Jesus to join them in a threesome?

They probably need Jesus

@wherethewildthingswerent You probably need Jesus.

What are you suggesting, Nico?

I ship Jesus/Castiel/Dean now.  Jesus is perfect for this threesome because he’s half God so he can handle Castiel and he’s part man. It works out perfectly.  I mean who else would be a better candidate?

Between this and Gumby’s butthole, it is officially hiatus.

You ever get that feeling where you’re an awkward dork even though you’re not doing anything? Like I just feel like my very presence has had things awkward and I have the strong urge to apologize for anything I might’ve done…. even though I haven’t done anything….

Right? I love his freaking voice! He’s so haunting and sad and I love it. I actually stumbled on to his music last year and one of his songs helped me pull the ending of my dcj bang together. And I totally stole the title of that bang from one of his songs. He’s definitely one of my new faves.

In Defense of the Dark: Tell me your stories…

portraitoftheoddity:

If dark content (be it fic, books, films) has helped you at any point in time, either for catharsis, for escapism, for the sense you weren’t alone, for the ability to face a real trauma through the protective lens of fiction, to understand another’s trauma, to build empathy, or just to help you get through a crap day, shoot me an ask (or more than one if you need to break it up). Tell me about it. Anon is fine.

There’s a lot of purity wank around here insisting there is no value to any work that isn’t pure pastel fluff, and that’s a dangerous myth. So if you’re comfortable, please, lend me your voices.

They just look so happy ;A;

You know what’s sad about this little gif set right here? I bet you Claire watched her mom do this for her dad everyday before he went to work because if that backwards tie was anything to go by, Jimmy was a mess. Amelia probably had to pull him aside every morning after breakfast and fix his tie and she’d probably ask him something to the affect of “what would you ever do without me?” and he’s smile and kiss her on the cheek.

And Claire would see this little domestic act and think it was super dorky or gross at the time, but I bet she’s grown to miss it over the years.

“Now you look like a dad,” she says. Now you look like my dad used to, is left unspoken. You look like a dad, but you’re not my dad.  It’s Jimmy’s ghost that hangs over this whole scene and the whole of Cas and Claire’s interactions that kills me. She’s smiling, but I wonder just how that might sting.
