“I don’t see why you’re so upset about it. It’s good news isn’t it?” Rey asks.
“No, it’s not good news! I need to find a way to get Dameron his jacket back without him knowing it was me he was dancing with. Once he finds out I’m no one special he’s not going to want anything to do with me,” Finn says.
“You’re being ridiculous,” Rey says, “you danced with him all night and now he’s looking for you. Obviously he’s interested.”
“Or he could just want his jacket back. It’s probably worth half a million dollars on it’s own,” Finn says.
There’s a snort from the couch and both Finn and Rey turn their attention to Ben, who’s since given up on pretending he’s reading the paper. “What’s so funny?” Finn grouses.
“Oh, nothing. Just that you’re determined a man who spends all night in your company, lets you borrow his jacket because you were cold, and is now traipsing across all of London to find you cares about details like money,” Ben says.
Finn rolls his arms, crossing them over his chest. “It’s not impossible.”
“You want to know what it sounds like to me?” Ben continues, undeterred.
“Insanity?”
“It sounds like you’re Finn-derella,” Ben says.
Rey snorts and Finn huffs. “You call me that again, Solo, and I’m smacking you.”
OR – Finn’s just a normal guy with a celebrity crush and an awful landlord who seems determined to keep him stuck in financial limbo. But when the object of said crush hosts a charity ball in his hometown, it’s up to Finn’s self-appointed fairy-godmother, Rey, (and her grumpy boyfriend) to get him there and help him make a good impression.
