I’d to share the stunning artwork that the amazingly talented @persimonne did for me. It was so much fun to work with her and I am so pleased with how this has turned out.

It depicts the closing scene from Chapter 9 of Postcards from Galactic Edge when Ben and Rey are sitting on the top of their house, looking out at the stars as the Twin Suns of Tatooine set.

It was a pleasure working for you! Thank you!

Honestly rewatching the Ryloth arc is insane because of the amount of connectivity between it and things that would happen later in Rebels. Like

1) Mace Windu, the master of Kanan’s master, and Cham, Hera’s father, working together years before Kanan and Hera would even meet

And Cham even directly references the events of the battle when he first shows up in Rebels

“Ah, Mace Windu. Outnumbered a hundred to one, we charged across Lessu’s energy bridge to certain doom!”

2) Anakin and Ahsoka leading the battle in the skies, which would a) inspire Hera to become a pilot(and ironically she’d later meet both Anakin and Ahsoka in person, small universe lol)

“I was a little girl when the clone war came to Ryloth. My mother hid us below ground, but I’d peek out when the Republic ships flew over as they fought to liberate my world.”

and b) would result in Chopper’s pilot being shot down, leaving him to later be found and repaired by Hera, thus beginning a lifelong friendship

not to mention c) when Anakin’s fleet is trying to get through the blockade in part one, AP-5 is presumably on one of those star destroyers

And we all know how that turned out

3) And finally, no Ryloth post would be complete without mentioning our girl Numa and the many callbacks that came with her return

Like honestly, when these three episodes first aired back in 2009, nearly a decade ago now, I doubt anyone would’ve guessed that they’d end up being so relevant to future content. Rebels wasn’t even a concept yet when tcw was being made, and none of this foreshadowing was intended, and yet it all still connects so brilliantly. Really shows how dedicated the writers are to the characters and the fans alike. And it certainly increases the rewatch value of tcw.

I remember that one time I accidentally sent my boss a skype video call when he was topless in his own room. He quietly told me it wasn’t a good time for him. I then proceeded to ask him invasive questions about his relationship with his father and I demanded that he put something on even though I was the one who continued having that conversation instead of leaving him alone. I had never been more sexually harassed in my life. Darn his manipulative tendencies! :/

I can’t believe your boss would just be shirtless in his own room like that????? and then have the audacity to keep asking you to work for him?????

Rey: “Captain Calrissian, something you should know about Luke and Ben turning to the dark—” Lando: “You don’t need to say another word, kid. I know everything.” Rey: “…You do?” Lando: “Of course. What was Luke thinking, wearing khaki and trying to dress like the old Jedi? Luke’s terrible fashion choices turned Ben to the Dark side”

greyjedireylo:

‘if he’d jUST kept dressing like he did during the battle of Endor, NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED’
