dude. same. Rebels had me so going back and forth between ‘this is fine’ and ‘oh god no why’. watching TCW on the other hand was just me constantly trying to suppress the voice in my head that kept chanting they’re!all!gonna!die! over and over. i’m just glad Ahsoka got a mostly happy ending and that the OT exists… but then i remember that we’re not done with the ST and I get nervous lol

Ugh. Man, if they bring her back to kill her off I will be so freaking pissed. Let the lady rest! This is her second war/confrontation with a stupid evil empire (assuming she’s still alive at this point which I am). She’s been through a lot of shit. Let her live! Just please let her have peace.

Rebels on the whole was a little hit or miss for me but when it hit it hit hard. Especially every time Ahsoka showed up anywhere near Vader. It hurt so much. And then with that final confrontation. I was a mess.

TCW is a special kind of torture, honestly. You get all attached to the clones and the Jedi and you know how it’s gonna end but you still catch feels anyway. I’m so not ready for season 7. Don’t get me wrong, I’m super excited for it and I’m going to marathon the whole rest of it before it airs but it’s gonna hurt.

frostytips:

Honestly rewatching the Ryloth arc is insane because of the amount of connectivity between it and things that would happen later in Rebels. Like

1) Mace Windu, the master of Kanan’s master, and Cham, Hera’s father, working together years before Kanan and Hera would even meet

And Cham even directly references the events of the battle when he first shows up in Rebels

“Ah, Mace Windu. Outnumbered a hundred to one, we charged across Lessu’s energy bridge to certain doom!”

2) Anakin and Ahsoka leading the battle in the skies, which would a) inspire Hera to become a pilot(and ironically she’d later meet both Anakin and Ahsoka in person, small universe lol)

“I was a little girl when the clone war came to Ryloth. My mother hid us below ground, but I’d peek out when the Republic ships flew over as they fought to liberate my world.”

and b) would result in Chopper’s pilot being shot down, leaving him to later be found and repaired by Hera, thus beginning a lifelong friendship

not to mention c) when Anakin’s fleet is trying to get through the blockade in part one, AP-5 is presumably on one of those star destroyers

And we all know how that turned out

3) And finally, no Ryloth post would be complete without mentioning our girl Numa and the many callbacks that came with her return

Like honestly, when these three episodes first aired back in 2009, nearly a decade ago now, I doubt anyone would’ve guessed that they’d end up being so relevant to future content. Rebels wasn’t even a concept yet when tcw was being made, and none of this foreshadowing was intended, and yet it all still connects so brilliantly. Really shows how dedicated the writers are to the characters and the fans alike. And it certainly increases the rewatch value of tcw.

Anakin Skywalker & Ahsoka Tano

“And then [Ahsoka] forgot about the people, because there he was, beside a ruined shield generator. Anakin. Bloody, sweaty, and still alive. He was fighting back-to-back with Master Kenobi and Taria, and stamped in their faces was a grim, desperate determination and a shared extremity of pain. A ring of droids surrounded them, moving in for the kill. Ahsoka felt her lips peel back in a snarl I don’t think so, you clanking barves. Not today. Not ever.
