In case cactuses become the new trendy thing I want to make it clear that I hate cactuses. They’re evil little plants that grow everywhere and no matter how much it looks like you can touch them you cannot. The ones that look touchable are especially painful. They don’t just poke, they sting. They’re not cute, they are soccer ball ruiners.
They taste good though.
If you’re writing an analysis of something, you’re trying to convince your audience to believe you. That’s how argument works. If you’re pointing things out and going “hey, look, themes! I have evidence,” it’s an argument.
