I made another drawing for @theroadsofararchive’s Wings prompt! I just needed to draw something for my Boyking AU (which could need a better name by the way, so I’m welcome to new ideas). True form boyking!Sam being protective over priest!Cas is something I wanted to draw for a while now, so I hope you like it. ❤

5 Hours Elapsed time 

1 year and 1 month ago, I did a little photoshoot with the kids wings and my trenchcoat and tie…. the intent was to use this for a graphite portrait. I never got around to it.

But i’m doing @theroadsofararchive April Challenge (Wings!) and not only is that right up my alley, this picture was perfect for it – and I decided to try and do something a little different.

my realism is ALWAYS based off photos and ALWAYS graphite* (*unless its a city skyline – then i prefer ink*) so i figured, why not try digital?

In the Animated Gif – you can clearly see my process – the original photo. I still started with lineart so i knew what i wanted to do and i started simple. only 3 colors so i wouldn’t go crazy with layers. (I still had 5 wing layers, 4 tie layers and 2 trenchcoat layers and 2 for lineart)

I forgot to capture it, but when i took the lineart off after i colored it, the wings looked the worst – i had to do a lot of edge softening for it to look right once the line work was off.

i… i really really like this! i’m gonna put it on my society 6 shop soon i think, and make it a print.

best quality: Does Demon!Dean have any good qualities? I mean, for a jackass character he’s a decent jackass but I don’t know if there’s anything “good” about him. 
worst quality: Idk, he’s a demon with a general disrespect for human life and his car. He’s a burrito of worst qualities. 
ship them with: Top Three (currently) are 1) Abaddon 2) Ketch 3) Meg
brotp them with: Demon!Dean doesn’t get friends, but I guess Crowley b/c that’s canon. 
needs to stay away from: Everyone. 
misc. thoughts: I will always and forever be bitter that Demon!Dean wasn’t around longer and wasn’t a darker character. Like, they could’ve done so much with him. He could have been an interesting exploration of Dean’s psyche and a kind of fucked up catharsis for any and all baggage he’d been dealing with. Or he could’ve been more restrained at first, slowing giving way to his more baser urges. Alas, no. So I’m gonna be bitter about that shit forever. Also, fanon!Demon!Dean who’s a monster is always better than canon!karaoke singing!Demon!Dean.
