I have very suddenly and unexpectedly gone into the hole by $2,670.00. I have been out of work for too long to be able to eat this sort of debt. I budget down to the penny, and barely make enough to meet my base living requirements as it is.
I need to feed myself, and I need to feed my daughter, and I need to pay my rent.
So, here’s the deal.
If you [ buy me a ko-fi here ] I will write you a fic. $10 = 1,000 words minimum, up to $50 = 5,000 words. At this point, I cannot offer longer fics with working full time and parenting and life. As always, feel free to donate more if you like, but I will not be able to write a fic longer than 5,000 words for you.

I’m currently unemployed and bringing in no income (I’m stay at home for the kids, since we can’t afford child care). My wife is our sole breadwinner. She earns about $60,000 a year, which isn’t bad, but it’s less than $40k after we pay for health insurance and taxes. We own a house and support four people on that income. And seriously, honestly, it’s not undoable, and we were doing fine keeping our heads above water until recently.
What changed?
With everything else going on I haven’t talked about it much, but the nugget – our 3 month old son – has a mystery allergy, or possibly a mystery health problem. So far, he’s hitting his physical and mental developmental milestones, but we can’t figure out what the problem is. His skin is continually broken out in hives, he produces bloody stools, and his breathing is perpetually wheezy. Regular appointments with the doctor, various changes to his daily routine, and dietary changes have helped the problems but haven’t cured them. It’s added both work and daily expense that we happily cover to the best our ability, but it’s absolutely made things harder.
He’s taking neocate, a fancy hypoallergenic formula that costs roughly three times more than regular formula. I’m not able to breastfeed (thanks, PCOS), and our insurance company has declined our requests for financial support to pay for the formula because he’s not actively dying (not exaggerating, that’s their literal reason). Instead of spending maybe $100 on formula each month, we’re spending three times that, and it will only increase as he grows. Even with fancy food, he’s edging dangerously into “failure to thrive” territory. He was born small – around 15th percentile for boys – and though he’s been gaining weight, it’s not at the rate he should be. Three weeks ago, he was in the 4th percentile for weight, and on Friday at his most recent appointment he was in the first percentile (he’s been pretty steady at the 25th percentile for height). Further, we thought he was doing better but then he had more bloody discharge this Saturday, so that means back to the doctor. We’ll have to afford the $300 plus each month most likely until he’s at least 9 months or a year old, and probably won’t be able to switch him to milk – until we identify the allergy we can’t even guess how much this will cost going forward. The price of this more than exceeds the wiggle room in our monthly budget, especially since we’re also paying extra doctor co-pays, extra washing prices for fancy detergent, and slathering him in expensive lotion to protect his skin.
As such, hi, I’m here asking for help. I’m keeping things really simple. If you want to chip in a little, you can:
I’ll try to write commissions of 1k or fewer words for anyone who buys me a ko-fi or supports me on Patreon, but I can’t promise when they’ll get done. Time is limited, and I get little enough time to write that it’s even harder for me to get done writing “responsibilities” than it used to be, and honestly? It was never my strong point. People who’ve commissioned me can attest, I’m really unreliable, and I feel like shit about that but there we are – I learned the hard way that’s how I am and now all I can do is try to be honest and straightforward about it, and ask that people support me despite that short-coming. What I can promise – I’m doing my best to continue producing stories and other content. That won’t change. And financial support in this would really alleviate stress for my wife and I, which would make it easier for me to get writing and such done, so indirectly, ya’ll will benefit.

Chibi or dot chibi line art: $10
Non-chibi line art: $15 (complicated poses/details may be more)

Color shading, detailed gray shading, and detailed one color shading: $10
Digital pastel: $20 (on account them being a painting more than a drawing)
Add any extras:
Additional character: $5 per chibi character, $10 per non-chibi character
Simple background: $5 (complicated backgrounds may be more)
Add ‘em up and you have your price! If you want a dot chibi couple pic with flat colors, for example, you’re looking at about $20. A one character non-chibi line art with background? Also $20.
I price based on how long a picture will take me, so line art and simpler drawing styles cost less. These are just guidelines – if you have a picture in mind that doesn’t really fit any of these, no worries. Talk to me, we’ll figure something out!

Okay folks, guess who got kicked squarely in the ass yesterday! Due to a fuckup in my disability leave, I didn’t get paid at all this fortnight, and given I have no savings that’s a pretty monumental disaster! Thanks to the mind-blowing generosity of some friends, I’m zeroed out instead of in the red for now, but I need to raise $310 by the 18th or I risk losing my car (and possibly my job and home, yay).

What it will be is basically if you’re a student in the united states, post a video of you talking about your fears and views on the lack of gun control. We’re posting them all friday so there can be a huge wave of scared voices yelling for change. We’re gonna make them hear us.

Writer or writers wanna work on something with me?
I have a prompt idea and it could hilarious and heartbreaking and angering and all of that. The idea is a therapist that deals with specifically hunters and their allies. So the stories would be written as though they’re therapy sessions.
Pick a character you love to write and go wild letting them get their canon feelings out. Can be past episodes or current.
Would anyone want to do this? We could put it in a collection on AO3. I may also do a little art for each entry, that’s where I come in.

Recently many writers (myself included) have received threats to have their works reported for violating fanfiction.net’s rules on mature content. Apparently someone anonymously reported 11 writers, all from the Outlaw Queen fandom.
The report went to a group called Critics United who decided to make themselves a member-generated police force for FFN. If we don’t take the smutty fics down, they will mass report us to FFN admins until said fics are deleted.
Though it’s been ignored largely, FFN technically prohibits graphic descriptions of sex. So we don’t have a leg to stand on.
With this in mind, many of the writers in the Outlaw Queen fandom (since our fandom is being targeted specifically) have been trying to make AO3 the main source for fic reading.
That’s where you can find the porn, basically, lol.
AO3 has a waitlist to join, but you can get around the waitlist if you know someone with an invite.
That’s where the OQ AO3 invite exchange comes into play. If you need an invite, tweet us. If you have one, tweet us. We will match you up so you can immediate start reading/preserving beloved fics.
For all OUAT fanwork creators, regardless of who you ship, if you post works with adult content on FFN, I suggest you take note of this and plan to back up your stories and feedback, because judging by their forums, “Critics United” has some members/participants/tipsters who are taking an interest in OUAT fandom generally, not just Outlaw Queen authors.
I also highly recommend archiving your work on AO3, where posting adult content *isn’t* a violation of the site’s Terms of Service.

I never thought I would be in such a desperate situation, but here I am. My boyfriend and I desperately need to move out. After many distressing events over the last two months, we’ve moved back in with my parents, but this can only be a part-time fix.
