I actually love that movie but I think it traumatized me a wee bit because I saw it when it first came out. Like. I was little more than a baby. Probably not the best idea for my family to let me watch it lmao

lol. I saw it a few years after it came out when I was small. (It came out on my birth year but I hadn’t been born yet.) I love the movie, but it still scared the crap out of me. Not as bad as Jaws though. I saw that one when I was six I think and that ruined me for water. Jurassic Park was different because dinosaurs weren’t actually alive. Sharks on the other hand….

OH MY GODDDD. Whaaaaaaat?? We share this in common too??? I also dream about dinosaurs eating people a lot. Fuck you, Jurassic Park!

lol. That’s so weird! I really thought I was the only one!

Jurassic Park was revolutionary for not only kick ass animatronics but also for giving a few children real nightmares about dinosaurs eating their neighbours, apparently.

Holy shit, though!!! What a birthday! I don’t even know what to say to all that. Just. Wow!!! I would have probably died of embarrassment and avoided seeing them ever again lol

lol.
Honestly, it was so damn embarassing and if my friend wasn’t such an awesome person I probably would have just hid under a rock for the rest of forever.

It’s kind of funny now, though. I like to refer to it as “The time my life was almost fanfiction”.

5 and 25?

5: Talk about the best birthday you’ve had.
Hmmm. I don’t actually do much for my birthdays, honestly. We kinda do the same thing every year, meaning that I get Starbucks, I have lasagne and cheesecake for desert and then fall into a food coma while watching TV.

When I was younger, I used to have Halloween parties after my birthday (because my birthday is in September but I will seriously wait a whole month just to invite a ton of people over for Halloween).

Oh! Okay, here’s one. This is also my most embarrassing drunk story (which should say something about how often I actually drink). Okay, so for my 22nd birthday a couple of my friends decided to take me out because I was the oldest of that group and they’d all recently turned 21. So, we start by going to my friend’s sister’s place (this girl I’ve ever met), right and that’s when I find out my friend (who I am very attracted to) is an identical twin. (Yeah, I’m sure some of you know where this is going…)

Anyway, we all go out, by bestie learns that she hates cinnamon whiskey, we all get pleasantly tipsy. So, me being the idiot that I am, I start hitting on my friend, who doesn’t know I’m bi, so she just kinda laughs it off and tells me I need to drink more water. Then I start hitting on my friend’s twin, who has a girlfriend. And somehow, somewhere along the way I’m hitting on them both at the same time. They turned me down, of course, and I looked like an idiot and I laugh it off as me not knowing what I was thinking or saying so there was no harm, no foul. I did eventually tell my friend I was bi and she never brought up the time I insinuated I wanted to sleep with her and her sister, so she either forgot or pretended to forget and we have never spoken about it since. So, not by “best” birthday but certainly one of the most memorable.

25: Talk about an ex-best friend.
I have a friend who isn’t my best friend anymore but we’re still good friends. We were co-captains of the debate team in high school, student government leaders, AP kids (but also kind of underachievers in an odd way. Like, we did homework and aced tests and essays but we never did them before last minute and felt C’s were fine on homework and stuff). She moved away for college and is trying to get into law school right now. She’s a bad ass, too. (She’s like 6 feet tall, wears heels and can run in them and knows Krav Maga.)

Talk about things with me!

@samanddeaninpanties replied to your post “18 & 19!”

Yesssss. Sharing what I’ve written (with people online, not anyone I know irl) is such a beautiful thing, honestly. I feel so connected to my writer friends and readers on here in a way I can’t be with people who don’t know about what I do in my spare time.

Honestly, I feel like this is the best thing about fanfic. Reading it is great, sure, but being able to contact and become friends with people who wrote your favorite things is amazing.

18 & 19!

18. How old were you when you started writing?
Six or seven, I think? I’m not exaggerating, either, I was trying to write stories ever since I could actually spell real words. It’s always been very important to me. In terms of writing “real” stories that didn’t happen until I was sixteen, and I wasn’t writing fanfiction until I was twenty.

19. Why do you write?
Writing is one thing that’s always given me fulfillment and meaning.  I have too many things in my head, too many ideas and images and characters to just waste them by not sharing them. If I don’t share those with other people I don’t know what good they’d be, honestly. I could keep them to myself I guess, but it seems like a benefit to everyone if I shared them.
