That crack fic is gonna be fucking amazing. So will the fantasy fic! I’m super excited šŸ˜€

šŸ˜€ I hope they’re good.
Also, I’d be super tempted to do winjimstiel if I’m going to do angel!Dean, angel!Sam, and hunter!Cas.

What if Azazel had given *both* boys his blood instead of just one? (Maybe reverse verse isn’t a good term for this then? Just an au??? I dunno.) I’ve seen reverse verse where Sam or Dean is an angel instead of them being brothers but I’m a little too attached to their dynamic to make them unrelated.

I’d consider that more of an AU probably. Or if it was wincestiel and Cas was a hunter and Sam and Dean were angels. I kinda feel like reverse verse implies that the main pairing (or triad or quartet or whatever) has their backstories switched. So, like, Dean would be the one to have the demon blood, not Sam. Though, that would be a really fun au to explore.
Also, I think Swesson is the one exception I make for relation. I want Sam and Dean to be, at the very least, half-siblings.

I’m gonna sound like a huge dick but I’m kinda bummed Wincest isn’t djinn dream or reverse verse or something similar. šŸ˜›

lol. I’m sure I’ll wind up doing a djinn dream some day, don’t worry. Also, I don’t think I could actually do reverse verse for wincest. It’s just… Dean’s the older brother. I don’t know how I could make him the younger of the two. It’d be hard for me to do. It’s not that I don’t like it, (I do) I just think I’d have a hard time wrapping my mind around writing it.

A, B, Z!

A – Ships that you currently like a lot. (They don’t have to be OTPs because not everyone has OTPs.) Friendships, pairings, threesomes, etc. are allowed.
So many. I currently like Dean/Cas/Jimmy, Dean/Cas/Jimmy/Sam, Sam/Jimmy, Dean/Michael, Dean/Ketch, Abaddon/Ketch, Michael/Jimmy, Cas/Balthazar, Sam/Eileen, and Sam/Jess/Eileen a lot. That will change next week probably.Ā
B – A pairing–platonic, romantic or sexual–that you initially didn’t consider, but someone changed your mind.
*squinty Cas glare* You know, 90% of my shipping is totally yours and @maliciouslycreative ā€˜s fault. Sam/Dean/Jess is one. Ketch/Balthazar is another. And Cas/Inias. Claire/Jess is 100% your fault because now I want Claire/Jess/Sam.Ā
Z – Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go! (Prompts optional but encouraged.)
So, just ramble? Yeah, I can do that.Ā
So I’ve been thinking recently about the way fan fic is done, right? And one thing that really makes me wonder is why certain things are just… accepted in fan fic and that’s the way it is. Like, we have certain storylines we stick to a lot and I have no idea why that is. Obviously, it’s because we like them but I have to question why we don’t start breaking down those tropes and bending them to our wills. Like, why do fake dating aus always end with the couple getting together soon after? I’d like to see that dragged out. Like, it’s six months after and someone’s grandma asksĀ ā€œwhere’s so-and-so? I liked them.ā€Ā ā€œOh, we broke up.ā€Ā ā€œBut why??ā€ and then it’s like this elaborate fake exes thing as well (because it can never be easy in fan fic, right?). That could be fun. It just seems like fan fic is the best place to turn all the standards on their heads.Ā
Also, why are there stock bad guys? I get it, they were bad in canon (or we perceived them that way) but why don’t we try to change it up? Like fricken Balthazar. Why Balthazar? Can someone explain that to me? Bartholomew is way douchier. Like, if there are a few past relationships in a longer fic I can almost always tell you what the ex was like. (BalthĀ cheated, Meg was a bitch, Lisa was controlling/cheating/pressuring, Benny was an occasional fling, Aaron was a brief first experience, etc etc.) Like, I get it, they’re standards for a reason but why? Thankfully a lot of the people I interact with tend to shy away from these fandom cliches/standards, but I kinda want it to be the start of a trend. Like, people can be exes for other reasons. Sometimes it’s just that things didn’t work out. Sometimes people can be friends after.Ā

Thanks!Ā

Ask me things!

Like, on one hand: the feedback is wonderful. I thrive on it. On the other: the audience is sooooo much smaller. Especially if your rare pair/threesome didn’t really exist yet.

Yeah. I just don’t know though. It’s like… I get that there isn’t much of an audience to be found in rare pairs, I do, but like… I feel like I have to beg for attention half the time and that feels really icky. I dunno. If I wanted to write and get basically no reaction to it I would have kept trying to publish in magazines.
I know I’m just complaining but it’s just not any fun when four of the most recent things I’ve written have a grand total of 13 kudos combined.
