I’m your mom.

This hurts so much because Sam knows what it is like to never know your mother. Sam knows what it is like to wonder what she was like.

Sam wants to make sure that Jack has this video because it gives Jack what Sam never had.

A mother.

Just the chance to see her image. To hear her voice. To get a glimpse into who she was. To know how much she loves loved him. This was a million percent more than what Sam himself ever had from Mary before her death.

Then he lost her again once he finally got her back. After losing her a couple more times once she was already back. That is another story though.

Not only did Jack lose his mother like Sam but Jack also lost his Father (his chosen one in Castiel). So did Sam. Even if it wasn’t by death, Sam lost the chance to ever know John the way John could have been. The potential father that Sam and Dean both needed

Sam understands better than anyone in Jack’s life right now. Sam wants to give him the chances he never had. Sam wants to protect Jack and raise him as good. Sam wants Dean to see the good in Jack the same way Dean saw the good in Sam.

But first Sam wants to give Jack the only thing he has left of his mother other than his humanity.

If Dean is the embodiment of humanity, what is Sam the embodiment of?

Uhh probably shouldn’t answer this after this many wines and will probably get told off but …. imo bad choices, second chances and redemption.

Also the fight!  Sam’s curse and addictions can easily be viewed as a metaphor for depression and a genetic pre-disposition  to addictive behaviour which eats away at your potential and goodness.  Because sometimes, it feels like the addiction and depression alone is driving, to both the outside world and the sufferer.

Sam must surmount his own difficulties and loss of sense of self, his guilt, his pain and his rage.  Then try to make something better.  Dean’s struggle is connecting with his true self.  Sam’s struggle is finding himself, beneath the rubble that remains.

He and Cas are haunted by their past and abnormal nature. Their shifting dreams of what could be a better world.  They must fight to claim themselves.

The embodiment of perseverance, even in the face of what seems ‘right’ and how they feel ‘wrong’.

Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh

away the sin of the world.

Sam Winchester who always believed “love” meant family whether it was through blood or choice.

Sam Winchester who always felt like he was supposed to want to date but never actually wanted to and only went because he was trying to be “normal.”

Sam Winchester who felt he had to pretend with everyone he until Jess finally understood him.

Sam Winchester who realized if he had to be fake it with over the top gestures and fancy words to get laid, it wasn’t worth it.

Sam Winchester who likes hugs and kisses and sex but doesn’t get why they have to “mean something.”

Sam Winchester who says “you’re family” instead of “I love you” because to him they mean the same thing.

Sam Winchester who loves fiercely and in his own way, regardless of the fact that he doesn’t do romantic love.

Just Aromantic Sam Winchester 💚🖤💚🖤

so the thing that surprised me most in the itunes promo was the “sammy let me go” note

like he’s a demon now so i expected him to leave something way more immature than that—i thought it’d be something like

and sam being like “……………..he’s fucking alive”

Romance repulsed!aro!Sam Winchester is really uncomfortable with flirting and will split the second it the option is available. He’d much rather just have conversations with people, but as he found out in college, “going for coffee” was somehow a trial date and that was always kind of disappointing. He’d much rather just hang out with people, and of that did or didn’t lead to sex, well, either way was good for him.

When Jess came along they didn’t really do the dating thing. They hung out but they did that with other people, too. She’d punch him in the arm or ruffle his hair but she wasn’t interested in cuddling or making it weird. They eventually wound up living together when Sam’s roommate dropped out and left Sam holding the lease on his own. And sometime after that, after sleeping together, everyone just assumed they were dating. It works for them, keeping most obnoxious advances away and it allowed them to just be themselves without any pressure.
