People are really freaking stupid sometimes.
And what’s really bad about it is the people who say these kinds of dumb things then get super offended when they’re called out and called racist or told they’re wrong. They use you calling them out as proof that you’re the “real racist”… for calling it out… because that’s how it works apparently. (Even though when they say stupid shit like “the blacks are all…” “mexican should….” that’s not racism… or something…
People need to read more and check their egos at the door.

Hmm I’m with @braezenkitty church sex is hot. I dated a church janitor once who had keys and just yes. Most the time we fucked after hours, but one time he locked us in this little office during the service and it was so dirty wrong hot to be able to hear this hellfire and brimstone sermon while my sinning ass was bent over the desk the sermon had probably been written on. Hello lovely! For promo week, did I miss you talking about your fic series Sex Like It’s a Competition? If so can you link me? I adore that series

I have not talked about Sex Like It’s a Competition but, as today is WIP day, we can do that right now! 

At first, it was just supposed to a a fill for the destiel smut brigade bingo challenge last year. I’d not sure if the card still shows up in (Put You Money) Where Your Mouth Is and I honestly don’t remember what the squares were but I know I threw Cas’s tattoos in there for the bingo. It was one of the first smutty things I’ve ever written, just to see if I could actually do it, but I wound up liking the AU and decided to continue with it. 

At this point, it’s spiraled a bit into something that will eventually have something of a plot. It’s become something of a competition between the two of them, too, to see who can get the other off in completely inappropriate places. Which, is a little based on my own personal experiences… maybe. I have been known to be a bit of an exhibitionist but I’ve also wound up attracting public sex for some reason. I don’t know why it happens to me, but I’m like a magnet for it or something. One thing I want to figure out a way to include an incident that happened to me at walmart last year. I don’t know where these guys actually were (I suspect they were in the back where they stock the milk) but as I’m shopping for whatever I was shopping for I hear what sounds like really loud sex between two dudes. Like, one of these dudes was enjoying the hell out of himself. Everyone in the store just kinda… ignored it. Like, apparently this is a normal thing that happens at walmart? And then it stopped and it was like it never even happened. So I definitely want to include that in a fic because it’s so absurd. 

I have no idea how many fics there will be in the series, or where Cas and Dean will wind up boning next but I do know where I want it to end, and I’m thinking a threesome might be thrown in there somewhere. I’m always open to suggestions in terms of where they should do it next, though. 😉

I agree on all. And see that’s why the jealousy could still be seen as platonic. Balthazar and Dean are similar enough for Balthazar to fill a similar friendship role. The show has it so that Cas had nobody other than Sam and Dean. So even though they treat him like crap sometimes it’s a given he’ll be back. If he had a friend like Balthazar suddenly the dynamic changes.

Yeah, one of my biggest complaints about the set up of the show is that no one really has any friends. Sam, Dean, Cas, none of ‘em have any friends that aren’t each other. Sure, Jody’s around but their relationship with here is more of a mom-friend thing (she’s only like 4 years older than Dean, I think), so it’s a bit of an odd relationship. But I’m definitely in support of everyone having more friendships, dang it! Also, it’d be nice for Cas to have his one angel friend who didn’t try to screw him over back,
yeah? Yeah. (Esp if the show is going to continue to fall on it’s face and show shitty friendships/people taking advantage of each other/people lying and arguing with each other all the damn time.)

Balthazar fans UNITE! There was sooo much unstated history between Cas and Balthazar! And think of all the jealous!Dean scenes we could have gotten if Balthazar had stuck around

lol. See, I’d say I’d give my left buttcheek for some explination of their history but it will probably never be as good as it is in my head. Guess I’m just gonna have to write some stuff someday. (I have some theories as to what happened and why.)
You know what’s funny about Dean and Balthazar? They’re a lot alike. They’re both kinda flippant assholes (Dean can definitely be an asshole) who enjoy sex and drinking and are sarcastic as all hell. I would love to see them just not get along until eventually, they do.

I know everyone wants Gabriel back, but I would much rather have Balthazar back. There was so much potential with his character and I wanted to see him interact with Cas more. He could have been kind of like Crowley was for dean

Okay, no shade to people who like Gabriel, but I will always, ALWAYS prefer Balthazar. Like, Balthazar love Cas. I don’t care if you say it’s platonic or familial or romatic, he loved Cas. He was an amazing friend, too, reaching out to other people when he knew he couldn’t help Castiel and he thought there was something really wrong going on.
Not only that, but the two of them had history. We’ll probably never know the extent of that history, but we know they had it. Like, Balthazar faked his death (how does an angel do that? Why does an angel do that?) and Cas mourned him! And then he was kinda pissed when Balthazar showed back up but they really did have a relationship that screamed closeness. They knew each other really well and I wish I knew what that relationship entailed.
And, personally, if I write Cas with a brother or a wingman (puns) it’s always going to be Balthazar. They just go on so well!
Okay, I’ll shut up now. But yeah, Balthazar and Cas have a very interesting relationship and I want to see Balth be a good bad influence on Cas.

I love Cain too and could totally see a prof au for them. Just I can see Cain being this wise older lover that knows it won’t last but is all about the campsite rule. So Dean ends up always looking back on the relationship fondly.

I can definitely see that. I also really liked the idea of it being one of those nostalgic relationships one looks back on fondly. The timing is all wrong for something permanent, but it’s good while it lasts and Dean learns a lot about himself and life and relationships while it lasts. It’s bittersweet and I like that a lot. (I’m such a sucker for that kind of thing.)
Esp if they run into each other later in life and Dean’s established and has his own life going and they just reminisce over a beer or two.
*wistful sigh*
