dude. same. Rebels had me so going back and forth between ‘this is fine’ and ‘oh god no why’. watching TCW on the other hand was just me constantly trying to suppress the voice in my head that kept chanting they’re!all!gonna!die! over and over. i’m just glad Ahsoka got a mostly happy ending and that the OT exists… but then i remember that we’re not done with the ST and I get nervous lol

Ugh. Man, if they bring her back to kill her off I will be so freaking pissed. Let the lady rest! This is her second war/confrontation with a stupid evil empire (assuming she’s still alive at this point which I am). She’s been through a lot of shit. Let her live! Just please let her have peace.

Rebels on the whole was a little hit or miss for me but when it hit it hit hard. Especially every time Ahsoka showed up anywhere near Vader. It hurt so much. And then with that final confrontation. I was a mess.

TCW is a special kind of torture, honestly. You get all attached to the clones and the Jedi and you know how it’s gonna end but you still catch feels anyway. I’m so not ready for season 7. Don’t get me wrong, I’m super excited for it and I’m going to marathon the whole rest of it before it airs but it’s gonna hurt.

Hello there! ;) 17 and 25?

General Kenobi. 😉

17. what is your favorite line?

“Luminous beings we are – not this crude matter”

25. which character do you have a love/hate relationship with?

This is a hard one. When it comes to Star Wars I pretty much only have characters I love or love to hate. There are only a handful that I actually legitimately hate.
I guess the closest I come to a love/hate relationship with any of the characters is how I feel about Anakin. I love Anakin for who he was, particularly in TCW because there’s a lot to love about him. He’s a good person who loves fiercely and fights valiantly. He’s willing to do anything and that winds up biting him in the ass so he frustrates me a little bit. Like, more than anything he just makes me sad. His relationships with Obi Wan and Padme and Ahsoka make me sad because you have this guy who is pretty genuine, makes a good friend and father figure, a loving husband (though there are little moments here and there that make me side-eye him a bit *cough the Clovis arc cough*) and an intelligent general and he just… falls. I understand why, but still, it’s disappointing. I don’t hate him by any means, but I do get frustrated with his situation and sad because I think about all the things that could have been.

Thanks!

Star Wars Asks!

hey I have a couple questions about what you’re looking for for the ficoween! how much wiggle room do I have in terms of sticking to the prompt, and if I say I’ll write a ship but then it ends up being gen (or the other way round) is that still ok? it sounds pretty fun!

You have as much wiggle room as you need. All I ask is you generally stick to the idea of the prompt, but you can take it in which ever direction you want. For example, if you wanted to do #6

“Character A keeps running into someone. It’s never for very long and always at the worst times: a brief glimpse as they walk in separate directions, across a crowded street, getting off the train as Character A gets on. The weird part? They look exactly like Character A. The freaky part? Character A was born with a twin who didn’t make it past birth.”
you don’t have to have to mention twins if you don’t want to. It can just be someone who looks like Character A for whatever reason (shapeshifter, changeling, ghost, clone, them from the future, ect.) but it should have something to do with the character seeing someone who looks like them. The prompt that mentions vampires and eager consorts should have at least one vampire and someone who isn’t scared but excited about it. Does that make sense? Like, I don’t care if you choose to do your own thing with it, as long as there’s some element of the original prompt in what you write.

Other prompts might be leading in a certain direction, but if you want to you can always take them in the complete opposite. Last year someone took the pumpkin patch prompt (which I wrote to be more lighthearted) and turned it into body horror. Someone else too the fairy godmother prompt (which was intended to be darker) and made it light and fluffy. Really, it’s up to you.

As far as ships go, you can do whatever you want with that, too. Just let me know that you haven’t decided if it’s gen or a certain ship yet. The only reason I  ask is so I know who’s thinking about doing what so I don’t wind up with 16 people doing the same three ships for the same three prompts.

I hope that helps!
