I’m always thrilled to see rec lists that don’t list the Popular Fics. I mean there’s a difference between a list that’s “Fandom Classics Everyone Should Read” and “Hey, I just read these and think y’all should check them out!” and I try to do the latter just because I think newer fics need to be brought out from under the shadow of the fandom classics.
Absolutely agreed.
I do think it’s tricky sometimes, though, because I am a terrible judge of popularity and I never know how many kudos or hits a thing is before everyone and their mother (it seems) has read it. And, of course I don’t want to rec things that everyone has already read.
Lucifer wasn’t stabbed the same way Gabriel was. Luci was stabbed by Castiel’s angel blade, but Gabriel was stabbed by Luci’s archangel blade. The bros were trying to get Gabriel’s blade to fight against Luci in that episode. So archangel blades are extra sharp I guess 🙂
Yeah, it’s probably Death. The only other powerful creature it could be might be Gabriel, but Death makes more sense. Especially since he could send Castiel back to life.
That, and it would account for the “not all of Cas being back” thing… so my bets are on human!Cas in the later season. Which, yes.
And I know there’s a butt load of “Gabe’s not dead” stuff out there but now given that Lucifer was stabbed the same way and didn’t die… well, it’s possible.
