“I love you, too, Jack.”

Sam holding Jack after the kid freaking stabbed himself T___T

(I wanted to draw this like, two weeks ago already, but then conventions and work happened and I had this artwork idea in my head AND I NEEDED TO GET IT OUT. Also, who else ships Sam & Jack in a protective!bigbrotherSam way like there’s no tomorrow? I’M HAVING ALL THOSE FEELS)

@unforth-ninawaters replied to your post “Listen.  I don’t give a fuck what the show does. Jack is my…”

Yeah I’ve wondered that a lot.

Both before and after this plot line hit.

It’s definitely a possibility, but I just don’t really care. I’ve been writing him in my Saileen BB so I wanted to see what he was like and I think he’s adorable so that’s what I’m sticking with.

To be fair to the show, though, they have set-up enough to cause suspicion in who this character is with his birth and also the possible mind control and whether or not that intentional. But, they’ve also shown the character to be frightened, curious, joyful in discoveries and apologetic. (And the curiosity and joy was around people he didn’t need to “fake it” in front of.) They’ve got a good basis for whichever way they want to play him. It’s kinda early to make a judgement call but I like him so *shrugs*.

He could be a sweetie. He could be evil. He could do terrible things for great reasons. Only time will tell.

And, ya know, when have I ever cared about canon or whether or not a character was a villain when it comes to whether or not I like them?

Listen.

I don’t give a fuck what the show does. Jack is my marshmallow now. Plot be damned, I’m going with “innocent until proven guilty” and even if he’s the best manipulator on the planet I really don’t give a fuck.

I’m sticking him in fanfic. He’s going to be weird pals with Claire. He’s going to date Clark. He’s also probably going to date Adam while I’m at it. He’s going to be a normal kid. Unless he’s like… idk, crown prince or something or a mershark or whatever I want.

I don’t care what canon says, he’s my duckling and you can pry him from my cold, dead hands.
