Writing is very good! And I’m glad you’re home after a long week.

hugs! i have a sort of similar situation w/ my father in law he doesn’t do that mentor thing. Instead, he gripes & tries to guilt trip his kids & say we dont make an effort but his (notreallyhis) girlfriend & HER kids do.

It pisses me off. We call for every b-day & holiday. we’ve invited him to all of his granddkids b-day parties. He’s shown up to ZERO. he doesn’t call for anyone’s b-days. there’s more but i’ll start ranting. Just

just i understand some and i’m sorry you have to put up with that kind of thing *HUGS*

*hugs* I’m sorry you’re dealing with that crap, too. It’s so annoying and completely unfair. He sounds like a total asshole.

5 and 13 for fanfic asks :)

5. What’s a crackship you love?

I have sooo many. Meg/Balthazar (he’s showing up a lot today lol). I think these two would be the king and queen of “playfully insulting your partner so much the insults become endearments”. Also, I love them.

13. Exes or established relationship?

This one depends. Established relationships work if there’s the possibility for polyamory to happen but if it’s just two people I’d rather have exes. I like the possibility of second chances.

…. also both could be good. We could have a situation where one character is a in an established relationship and suddenly their ex shows up and suddenly there’s drama. And it would end with polyamory.
(But I’m sure that scenario is totally not familiar to anyone and most certainly not you or me. Neither of us would know anything about that, right? 😉 )

Thanks!

looking at your follower halloween fic thingy and there are 3 i want to claim – i don’t know if i’ll have time to write them or not but i’m highly interested. the question i have is – what do you mean by claim? do you mean that if i pick a number, nobody else can do that number too? (and if i DID have time, could i do more than one)

I’m kinda playing it by ear at the moment. I’m kind of limiting the number of people to a prompt to two because that’s pretty typical of challenges and I’m not sure what the interest level will wind up being. I don’t mind seeing the same prompt written with different ships/genres/by different authors. I think it’s kinda fun. I haven’t run into that issue yet, though.

There hasn’t been a ton of interest in it yet but I wouldn’t have a problem if you or anyone else did two fics, just as long as whoever does want to do two finishes and posts one prompt before trying telling me they want another one.

And, if by some strange miracle I wound up with 40 people doing the challenge with all the prompts claimed twice and more people who want to do the challenge, I’ll just let them pick whatever they want. It’s not a competition, really. It’s a celebration of fic.

Sorry if my word choice was confusing. I hope that answers your question.

haha! this thing is making the rounds now! first me, then deadlyangelkay, then jhoom and now you! how about 15 and 16?

15) why did you start writing?
As cheesy as it sounds, I started writing because I had stories to tell and I wouldn’t be happy until I wrote them. I’ve always wanted to write even before I actually could, so it was just natural. It’s like it’s in my blood.

16) are there any characters who haunt you?
Haunt me as in they won’t leave me alone? Sure. If the character really wants their story told them won’t leave me alone until I write something. It’s a little annoying but easily fixable.

Thanks!

Ask me writer-y things.
