Someone…who I’m not tagging so the person doesn’t feel obligated to like or reblog…. mentioned liking Dean in pink. So I dabbled in putting Dean in pink… I don’t art and you are all learning why….
dean winchester has an advanced degree in face cradling and i fully support more opportunities for him to cradle faces. i am convinced that everything looks right in the world when it’s being viewed from between his two cupped palms.
i’ve had this rant in me for a while so i’m just gonna let it out.
it annoys the hell out of me when people refer to dean as a womanizer.
that word describes someone who misleads women into thinking they’re more serious than they are only to fuck around on them and not someone who happens to have casual sex with partners who are knowingly in it for just as much and nothing more.
it’s straight up ridiculous to act like the women he sleeps with are victimized as if women are automatically looking for commitment and disrespecting themselves by fucking anyone but their potential future husband.
we’ve also seen that things between dean and his one night stands end on a friendly note as evidenced by jamie, tara and carmen in s12, just to name a few examples we’ve seen of his typical morning after.
so like? what is your issue here besides some slut shaming and backwards indignation on behalf of “bad” women?
and of course there’s the very important fact that dean stopped sleeping around like he used to after coming back from hell, which either doesn’t get acknowledged or gets treated as character development. as if being traumatized by decades of horrific abuse that almost certainly included sexual violence can ever be seriously labeled as positive growth.
i, for one, support dean returning to his “old ways” in the last couple of seasons because the way i see it, it took a lot for him to be able to enjoy sex like he used to. and treating this whole thing with more sensitivity instead of weird puritanism and internalized misogyny would be great.
A person who is emotionally stunted is someone who: can’t form meaningful relationships, lacks self-awareness, lacks empathy toward others, and is either unwilling or unable to express emotions. (2/4)
You know why Dean loves her though? Know what Dory’s motto is? Just keep swimming. Sound familiar? No matter how hard it gets, you just gotta keep grinding. Don’t you ever stop loving that determined blue fish, Dean Winchester. And never stop swimming.
