Hopefully you don’t get bored before Sam/Jimmy/Eileen happens 😉
Heh. It’s funny you mention that because I was just thinking about how I was gonna do that today. After I finish the one I’m working on I’ll move over to Sam/Jimmy/Eileen. I have no idea how it’s gonna go but Jimmy and Eileen are both being unpredictably naughty.
Star Wars fandom: do y’all do big bangs and I’m just not finding them or is that just not something that’s done?
I’m sorry but you said big bangs and it took me straight back to middle school 😂😂😂
^^^ not me, but looks like people I went to school with.
To address your question, I know there are fan fiction anthologies for Reylo, but I don’t recall seeing a big bang event for Reylo or Star Wars in general. But I don’t always pay attention. Surely they exist?
Omfg. Ya know, my brain never made that connection but now that’s gonna be stuck in my head anytime I hear the phrase “big bang” from now on. lol
I’m not really into marvel but I kinda figured it’d be the kind of crap they’d churn out. Antis are pretty much all the same no matter what ship, some are just more violent and willing to threaten and/or do illegal crap than others. Their arguments are tired and so am I.
I’ve been trying to avoid it but honestly it gets sooo hard. I’m not sure what your wife read but recently we had a bout of tag spamming that also included a big fat dollop of racism. It’s like there’s always something in this fandom and I’m just tired of it. I’m not saying this ship is perfect or anything but it sure as shit isn’t so evil it’s worth accusing people of very serious crap over. It’s apparently too difficult to just be like “I dont like this ship for X reasons” without taking it to extremes. How anyone falls for this crap I will never understand.
I used to breeze through sex scenes like they were nothing, now all of a sudden it’s like I’ve put tab A into slot B so many times I can’t think of a new way to say it. So, yes, totally feel this *nodnod* also @trisscar368 WTF YOU MADE ME SPIT MY TOAST EVERYWHERE
Right? It just feels so… repetitive. Tab A into Slot B, *enthusiastic sex noises*, whiteout, the end. I feel like there’s a finite number of ways to make that exciting. The again, it’s probably boring to us because we’re writing it. I’m sure it’s much more exciting to the people reading it. (At least I hope to god it is.)
I hear you… I mean… I really hope that the people reading my genderqueer exploration of betas in a/b/o understand that the end goal is… genderqueer. But…. well you can lead a horse to water.
I feel so bad because I’ve been wanting a fic like that for ages and I just haven’t started it yet. I’ve been in such a whirlwind lately. Ugh. I’m bumping that up to top priority on my to-read list.
But yeah, you’d think. I’d thought that was obvious from like… the title and premise alone but you never know, I guess. Have you been getting grief about that? Or having to explain it in the comments?
My mother likes to say “you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him tie his shoes” and that kind of perfectly encapsulates how some people completely miss the point imo.
