@casbakespie replied to your post “See, this is difficult because there’s so many??? Let’s start off with…”

to be fair, some of us hadn’t considered winjimstiel until recently and haven’t gotten to writing it yet 🙂

The smiley face encourages me.

Are you potentially playing with some winjimstiel ideas?

CHARLIE AND SAM FROM SPN OWURALJSKFJIWRLFJS

YES! Charlie is amazing. She’s a total geek and unapologetic fan of things she loves and I love that about her! She also has a neat couple of hero moments and I think that’s awesome!
And Sam! I love Sam! He’s a lot more complex than I think he get credit for sometimes. He’s got self-esteem issues but he keeps them close to the chest. He’s a fighter and a hero but he sometimes doesn’t think he should get anything nice. He’s willing to try to see the best in people and I think that’s awesome about him.

Ya know for some reason I never remember that having them not be related is an option? Like in my head they’re brothers end of story…but that would be an excellent solution to the problem. I was thinking alternatively something like Dean got kicked out of home (Johns A+ parenting) and Sam doesn’t know where he went (and Dean assumes Sam will hate him) but the news covers what happens in Sioux Falls and Sam sees it and comes and finds his long lost big bro

lol. I get that. The only time I even think about them not being related is in AUs where it sort of makes sense but those are pretty rare imo. Of course they’ll be brothers. Why wouldn’t they be, right?

But if they are related in this I think it would be really sweet if Sam showed up a their final destination to cheer on his big brother. It gives me the warm fuzzies just thinking about it.

What I really need is a dcj au loosely based on To Wong Fu: Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar.

Okay okay so the twins are the Wesley Snipes and the Patrick Swayze role and they take a young, distressed Dean/John Leguizamo under their wing?????????

Naturally! 🙂

I’m also tempted to say Cas takes the Swayze role.

…and their horrible Lincoln Continental breaks down while they’re making a cross-country journey and they end up in Sioux Falls (not the real Sioux Falls, which is pretty big, but, like, fake Sioux Falls from the show which always looks like a one traffic light town) where they help out all these awesome people (Bobby, who after a crippling injury, has lost his passion for everything; Donna, trapped in an abusive relationship; Charlie, who is queer and terrified of coming out in a small town; Rufus, the town alcoholic and no one knows why, only that he wasn’t always like that; Jody, the sheriff who has gone somewhat astray and grown hard hearted since her son and husband died…) with the miraculous power of drag????

…and Jody and Bobby end up together of course… (I ship them so hard sorry/not sorry…ooooh or maybe Donna/Jody/Bobby???)

…and Charlie and Dean end up BFFs…

YES??? PLEASE?????

(…but it needs a role for Sam…)

Oooh! Yes please! All of this! I love it.

(and I’m all for Donna/Jody/Bobby)

The question is, is Sam related to Dean in the au or nah? Because I almost want Sam to be the owner of the bed and breakfast they stay in who’s thought about trying drag or something. I dunno where to put him but I want to see him in it.

Writing fiction *is* a good place to work through traumatic events. But it’s gotta be at our own pace. It’s good it’s your brain suggesting it though

For sure. Fiction is a great place to work through trauma. This particular instance is about teacher’s abusing their students (physically and mentally), which is something I’ve been wanting to do something about for a while but this is actually a great place to do it. So I’m really glad my brain suggested it.

Do it if you think you can handle it. Don’t if it will be too much.

Well, it’s something I’ve talked about publicly a few times so I should be okay to write it. It’s something I think works really well and it would be a nice opportunity to get it out, I think.
Thank you for the advice, though! 🙂 Always lookin’ out for me.

@trisscar368
You know, sometimes I do legitimately forget my preferred writing style was to ruin the lives of fictional characters. But then, of course, wonderful opportunities like this arrive and I think to myself “If Sam had the opportunity to bring back him mom at the cost of a few fingers, would he do it?” And I then say to myself “What could I get Dean to do and how many lines would he cross if innocent lives were on the line?” And I remember how much I enjoy pushing characters close to the edge.
