Dude. Duuuuude. I constantly feel like a hack, and I canāt even read the wordsĀ āone of the best writers in the whole fandomā without scoffing cause, what, me? nuh uh absolutely no way.
But thatās kinda the point – I know objectively Iām a decent writer, and a fairly popular one I think. Our brains are fucking liars. Donāt worry about your friends reading your stuff. Heck, even if they donāt like it – itās happened to me, Iāve written stories that afterwards someone Iāve grown close to in fandom has been likeĀ āso um I actually didnāt like that one muchā – you still wonāt lose your friends over it, and something else you write, that person will adore and someone else will maybe like a bit less.Ā
So keep writing, and keep believing in yourself, and keep trusting your friends. You got this. š ā¤

Objectively, I know that even if my friends don’t like what I write they’re not gonna like me less. (I have friends who don’t like a few of the things I ship or write anyway) but I always have that little nagging in the back of my head that goes “they’re going to think less of you for this”.
