that explains why i recently got buried under a pornvalanche of bots

It happened to me last night. I posted something to a different blog and I have like 70 notes when I woke up. Half were from bots. It’s super annoying.

Also, I don’t know how true this is but apparently anything with the word you’re looking for will show up in search results now up to like 20 tags or something. So like, if you look for “knitting” you could find posts tagged “anti knitting”. I’ll reblog the post I saw on it but aparently tumblr decided to break itself…again.

I’ve been on two accidental movie dates. People who arrive at the movies in pairs should have to fill out surveys about what their relationship is with their companion, and what their expectation is from this particular encounter.

lol. See, but that would make sense. I’ve thought about handing out a  dating apllications with things like “how do you feel about bisexuality?” “is aromanticism real?” “are you willing to get me ice cream at 3 am?” “can you do your own damn laundry? can you cook? will you do these things yourself?” “opinion on black licorice?” “what do you hope for at the end of this date?”

Also, can we ban movie dates? They’re kind of terrible dates. You have to sit in a dark room for three hours and not talk to the person you’re on a date with. How about coffee or mini golf instead. Dates should be for getting to know a person.

I love reading romance, but have a hard time writing it. I tend to be bored by strictly-romantic plots and prefer fics where other things are also happening. Those are the stories I try to write, and so I tend to get distracted by all the other stuff and neglect the romance.

That makes total sense. Like, obviously, I adore shippy fic but I love conflict that doesn’t have to do with the romance. Give me a murder mystery or an action adventure or interpersonal drama anyday of the week and I will eat it up. (My favorite published books are not romances but I’ve been known to read them every once in a while.)  I’ll still read stuff with romance at the center, but I cannot write that very well.

But I definitely don’t think there’s anything wrong with putting romance in the secondary plot. I think it’s more fun, personally.
