You know, I always wonder what characters other people imagine when they write/read the angels and demons.
Like, for me personally, I’m always thinking Matt Cohen when I think Michael and Rachel is always Meg and Gen is usually Ruby.
But I really like the idea of Rick Springfield as Lucifer. I know Mark has been that character more often but… I really like the idea of the devil showing up as a mostly washed up 80s rocker who drives a mom van but still wears studded boots from time to time.Okay, I changed my mind. The only thing better than the devil showing up as a mostly washed up 80s rocker is showing up as mostly washed up 80s rocker Rick Springfield wishing he was Alice Copper.
He’s aesthetic, but he’s not cool enough to have a following. He’s got like one mild hit but he’s still trying. He drives a van. His one song comes on one station every once in a while bookended by Bruno Marz and Shakirah. He seethes with rage.
Please can we put this Lucifer on a road trip to find Vince’s/Rick’s former band members for some obscure reason, and there’s one character that keeps making Blues Brother references because “we’re gettin the band back together.”
And they keep saying “we’re on a mission from God” and he spends half the trip thinking of how to murder them.
Hehehe. Yes.
Bonus points if he can’t use his angel powers for whatever reason and must pretend to be as human as possible.
