Abaddon/Rowena for the ship game :)

who’s the cuddler: No one really knows how they manage it, but they usually wind up snuggled together by the time they wake up. I think it’s safe to say they probably both have some part in it. 
who makes the bed: Rowena, but magically of course. 
who wakes up first:  Abaddon. Rowena is very particular about her beauty sleep. 
who has the weird taste in music: I’d have to say Abaddon, considering the music she prefers is older than Rowena (which, is actually young for a witch dangit!)
who is more protective: Abaddon. No one lays a finger on the Queen’s consort and lives to tell about it. 
who sings in the shower: Rowena.
who cries during movies: It’s a little twisted, but Rowena will cry during a movie and it’s a rom-com. She’d much prefer that young lady no waste her time on whatever stud of the moment is on screen and devote him to bettering herself. (And that’s the reason Legally Blonde is one of her favorites.)
who spends the most while out shopping: Rowena. She’s got expensive tastes.
who kisses more roughly: Abaddon. She’s definitely a bit demanding but Rowena loves it. 
who is more dominate: Abaddon. Again, Rowena loves it. 
gets jealous the most: Abaddon. She’s got nothing to worry about, but it’s who she is. 
one headcanon I have: In a universe in which Abaddon didn’t die, she and Rowena would have been the ultimate wicked power couple. No one stands in their way, and they do what they please when they please. There was an instant spark between the two of them, and together they are a force to be reckoned with.

who’s the cuddler: Anna. Ruby’s a big cuddler, too, but that’s supposed to be a secret. 
who makes the bed: Ruby. Anna’s a bit of a scatterbrain, so Ruby remembers to do it. 
who wakes up first: Anna. She likes to get up and watch the sunrise. Sometimes she paints on their back porch. 
who has the weird taste in music: Anna still listens to gospel music, which Ruby thinks is weird. Anna just really loves the bells and organs and the way the choir comes together. 
who is more protective: Ruby is definitely more protective of Anna. 
who sings in the shower: Anna. Again, it’s the gospel music Ruby thinks is odd. 
who cries during movies: They both do. They’re sappy. 
who spends the most while out shopping: Ruby. She’s picky about her clothes and furniture. Anna’s not picky and most of her stuff has charcoal or paint stains on it. 
who kisses more roughly: They can both get rough if the mood strikes them. 
who is more dominate: Anna. Despite Ruby’s rough around the edges personality, Anna is actually the one to put her foot down more often. 
gets jealous the most: Ruby. She’s kinda insecure sometimes. 
one headcanon I have: Ruby was way more apprehensive about their relationship at first. Anna is a free spirit and she does what she wants, but Ruby was worried that might mean she was just a fling to Anna. She was wrong, of course, but she still worried about it.

who’s the cuddler: Dean’s cuddly but he was a little worried that Cain wouldn’t appreciate it at first. Cain does though. 
who makes the bed: Cain. He’s a very tidy person.
who wakes up first: Also Cain. He has to. Gotta check on the apiaries early. 
who has the weird taste in music: Cain is more into blues and early jazz, so Dean thinks his music is weird. Cain on the other hand things Dean’s music is weird. 
who is more protective: Definitely Cain, but his main concern is protecting Dean from his own self-destructive thoughts. 
who sings in the shower: Dean likes to listen to Cain singing in the show. His voice is so smooth and deep. Dean sings off key. 
who cries during movies: They both do, but Dean’s more of a slobbery, sniffly crier. Cain is much more dignified and only cries during Titanic. 
who spends the most while out shopping: Cain is more likely to buy organic produce. Dean buys fun stuff. They spend about the same. 
who kisses more roughly: It’s actually Dean. Cain can be rough, but Dean is comfortable being rough with Cain when he wants to be. 
who is more dominate: Cain. 
gets jealous the most: They don’t get very jealous, actually. Cain is unconcerned when Dean flirts with other people (after all, it’s only natural he find other people attractive). Their relationship has a good basis of trust and honesty so they both know they don’t have to worry that someone else is going to snatch the other away. 
one headcanon I have: Cain seems like a hardass, but he’s actually very gentle with Dean. He knows what Dean needs and wants and they have a pretty good relationship. It started out as a D/s relationship for both of them but eventually, they kind of decided they might as well date because they worked really well together. 
nicknames: Do “Sir” and “Boy” count?

who’s the cuddler: They’re both big cuddlers. When they’re asleep together, it’s sometimes hard to tell where one ends and where the other begins. 
who makes the bed: Cas. But it’s kind of half done at best. As long as the sheets are tucked where they’re supposed to be it’s good enough. 
who wakes up first: Sam. Cas will not get out of bed save for an emergency or fresh coffee. 
who has the weird taste in music: Sam. His music has banjos in it. Or, at least that’s what Cas thinks they are. He’s not really good at telling instruments apart. 
who is more protective: Cas. He’s super protective over Sam. 
who sings in the shower: Sam. 
who cries during movies: Sam. Cas only cries at movies if he’s a little tipsy. (In that case, it’s always a bad idea to watch Babe, Homeward Bound, Bambi, basically anything that’s remotely sad.)
who spends the most while out shopping: Sam. Unless they both want to try some new cheese or something, then they’re both complicit in the expense. 
who kisses more roughly: Sam. Cas is more of a nibbler. Sam bites. 
who is more dominate: Personality wise, it’s Cas. In the bedroom, it’s Sam. 
gets jealous the most: Cas is jealous of Sam’s compassion. Cas is a fairly kind person, but he once worked in customer service and had no patience for it. He’s pretty sure Sam has the patience of a saint. 
one headcanon I have: Sam had a huge crush on Cas for forever, but he wasn’t sure Cas would or could reciprocate. Cas did, of course, but he didn’t want to impose.

who’s the cuddler:  Totally Charlie. She’s a cuddle monster. 
who makes the bed: Neither of them. The bed is only made when the landlord has to do inspections or fix the AC but even then it’s not likely. 
who wakes up first: Charlie. Or, more accurately, Charlie does not go to sleep. She says up until the sun comes up. Or, that’s what Jo assumes, she’s usually asleep at night like a normal person. 
who has the weird taste in music: Charlie really likes pop music or anything that’s upbeat. Jo listens to rock music, so neither of them has really “weird” taste in music.
who is more protective: Jo. She will fight you. 
who sings in the shower: The both do, but Jo denies it. Charlie embraces it. 
who cries during movies: Charlie. She’s a sensitive soul.
who spends the most while out shopping: Charlie, but she does most of her shopping online. 
who kisses more roughly: Jo’s a little more aggressive. 
who is more dominate: Jo. Charlie isn’t a push over by any means, but Jo is definitely more dominant. 
gets jealous the most: Charlie, actually. She’s the first person to swing her arm around Jo’s shoulders and introduce herself as Jo’s girlfriend. 
one headcanon I have: Charlie made the first move. She’s super confident when it comes to flirting with ladies and it completely floored Jo because she always thought of Charlie as a shy, easily frazzled girl. 
nicknames:  Jo calls Charlie things like geek squad, your highness, and muffin butt (don’t ask). Charlie doesn’t use nicknames so much but has described Jo as the Gabrielle to her Xena.

who makes the bed: Also Dean. He’s a neat freak. 
who wakes up first: Jimmy. He’s a restless sleeper so he’s usually the one up first. Dean is next because of work and Cas has to be dragged out of bed.
who has the weird taste in music: Cas. Cas has very eclectic musical tastes, much to Dean and Jimmy’s surprise. 
who is more protective: It depends. They’re all very protective of each other, but Jimmy can be the most frightening when Cas is threatened. Dean is like a volcano; he blows up when Cas or Jimmy are in any perceived danger. Cas is more like a hurricane; he’s fast, loud, and destructive. Jimmy is a blizzard; he’s a cold, slow build until suddenly you’re buried under six feet of shit. 
who sings in the shower: Jimmy. He’s incredibly loud, too. 
who cries during movies: Jimmy and Dean. 
who spends the most while out shopping: It’s Dean. He likes very specific pasta sauce (if he doesn’t make it myself) and soap and sheets. 
who kisses more roughly: Jimmy. He’s a bit of a sloppy kisser, too. 
who is more dominate: Cas. Come on, is there really any doubt. 
gets jealous the most: They all go through bouts of jealousy. They try not to be, but when you’re in a triad it happens. Dean sometimes feels that Cas and Jimmy have a bond he could never hope to match, Jimmy worries that Cas and Dean could easily do without him because they fit so well, and Cas knows Dean and Jimmy have so many of the same interests that he worries he can’t keep up. 
one headcanon I have: Obviously they have some issues dealing with their relationship. It’s taboo, and that does put them under a lot of stress at times. They actually got into a huge fight when rumors about who Jimmy was sleeping with started to circulate at his work and he nearly broke it off with both Cas and Dean because he let it get inside his head. 
nicknames: Dean loves nicknames. He calls Cas and Jimmy “babe” and “sweetheart” but Jimmy is often JimJam (Jimmy hates that) and Cas is often Grumpy. Jimmy calls Cas Cassie to mess with him and Dean is “babe”. Cas doesn’t do nicknames, but when he’s irritated with Jimmy he calls him James (which Jimmy also hates).

who is more protective: Sam. He’s like a big angry moose. Eileen can handle herself, but she’s so little and he wants to protect her. 
who sings in the shower: They both do. Together. It’s super cute. 
who cries during movies: Sam “I’m a big sap at heart” Winchester. 
who spends the most while out shopping: Eileen. Well, unless you count when they shop for personal items like shampoo. Sam will spend upwards of $20 on shampoo. Eileen doesn’t care as long as it smells nice. 
who kisses more roughly: Sam. Definitely. 
who is more dominate: Personality wise it’s Eileen. In the bedroom it’s Sam.
gets jealous the most: Sam’s a little jealous of how talented Eileen is but he’s not really jealous-jealous.
one headcanon I have: Sam tried to prose to Eileen but his hands were shaking so bad he couldn’t sign the question and he dropped her ring in the grass (he proposed on a picnic). It took thirty minutes to find the damn thing and she totally said yes. (She was going to ask him if he didn’t propose by the end of the week.) 
nicknames: They call each other the typical sweet things like “babe” and “honey” and “darling”.

Send a ship: Meg/Ruby

who’s the cuddler: Meg likes to cuddle but she pretends she doesn’t. 
who makes the bed: The best is only made when it absolutely has to be and it’s whoever didn’t do it the last time. 
who wakes up first: Ruby. Meg would sleep all day if she was allowed. 
who has the weird taste in music: Definitely Ruby. She listens to all kinds of weird folk/indie rock stuff no one is familiar of. 
who is more protective: Meg has threatened to skin a few people a couple of times. 
who sings in the shower: Definitely Meg. Partly because she’s trying to be obnoxious, partly because she actually enjoys it. 
who cries during movies: They’ve both been known to tear ups just a little. 
who spends the most while out shopping: Ruby. Meg is much more utilitarian unless they’re shopping for toys. Ruby can and will spend ridiculous amounts on anything from groceries to clothes. 
who kisses more roughly: Meg. She’s a biter. 
who is more dominate: Meg. Ruby likes to be stubborn and push her into being more dominant, both in and out of the bedroom because it’s kinda hot. 
gets jealous the most: Meg, again. It’s not a very good quality of hers, but she is a jealous person.
one headcanon I have: Ruby is kinda terrified of Meg’s parents. She’s totally justified because Meg’s dad is pretty scary, but she was definitely not looking forward to the “meeting the parents” thing. 
nicknames: Meg and Ruby aren’t your typical nickname couple. Meg calls Ruby sugar tits, Ruby calls Meg asshole. It’s a strange brand of affection.

K, Q, R if they haven’t been asked already?

K: What’s the angstiest idea you’ve ever come up with?
lol. Okay, I’m trying to think. I’ve come up with a few pretty angsty ones. 

One would be a canon AU in which the vampire cure didn’t work and Dean was stuck as a vampire after season 6. Sam would argue that as a vampire, Dean could get into nests and figure out what the Alpha wants and why which is why Samuel wouldn’t kill him. After that it would be pretty much the same except Sam and Cas would go to Purgatory instead of Dean and Cas. The majority of the fic would be Dean, completely alone and starving because he’d be hunted and driven into cities where there’s not a lot of cattle or wildlife to feed off. Of course, that does have a happy ending because Sam and Cas would eventually show back up with Benny. 

There was another idea I had that was a kinda coda to 12×23. After losing basically all of his friends in the finale, Dean would lose hope and decide djinn poison was a reasonable thing to cope with. Sam, on the other hand, would throw himself into research to try and find a way to fix things. It would be partially and exploration in how the two of them handle grief and hopelessness, and partially AU hopping because of the djinn poison. It would have an ambiguous ending, because after Sam finds out about what Dean’s doing he tries to stage and intervention and Dean gets pissed and runs off, only to get himself captured by a djinn. I would leave it unclear as to whether or not the final scenes were real or if they were Dean’s dying dreams. 

Q: How do you feel about collaborations?
It totally depends on who and what. I’ve tried to do collabs in the past when I was writing original fic but they always fell through. I’d be open to it if I had the time and a partner I got along with really well. 

R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?
Kinda but not really. When I eventually finish my degree (it’s just electives at this point but my health isn’t great) it will be a degree in Creative Writing, so I’ve had “formal training” on how to write and that’s definitely had a big impact on my writing. I think Dan Mueller is probably the single person who’s had the biggest influence on my writing because I know him personally and he’s helped me a lot in learning to trust my gut when it comes to writing (and to cut down on filler junk). 
In terms of fan writers, anyone I’ve read and talked to has had an impact on my writing. I never try to copy their style or tropes, but one of the great things about fanfic writing is that we have an opportunity to share ideas and inspire each other.

Writer Asks! 

XYZ pls (sorry if they’ve already been asked!)

X: A character you enjoy making suffer.
Any character I love is a character I’m willing to make suffer. I guess I take some kind of sick joy out of making them suffer in very specific and weird ways. Dean winds up fainting a lot. Cas gets thrown up on. Sam beats himself up for feeling awkward. Jimmy has anxiety. I don’t know why I do these things to them, but they seem to be a constant in my fics. Of course, they all get happy endings though. 
There are a few characters I just like to make miserable for no reason, like Metatron. I pair him up with other characters I can’t stand and I enjoy the idea of him being absolutely miserable. 

Y: A character you want to protect.
Charlie, Kevin, and Eileen for sure. I enjoy hurting some characters but these three are kind of off limits. 

Z: Major character death–do you ever write/read it? Is there a character whose death you can’t tolerate?
I have written MCD. It was kinda the whole point of Forget-Me-Not (Cas/Meg) and I really enjoyed writing that. I’ve also read a little MCD but I’m super picky about it. I need the death to really be felt and to be important. I need to see characters grieving and moving on (or not) with their lives. If you’re going to kill a major character, I better be feeling it the whole way through, basically. And I need some kind of hopeful ending, honestly. Forget-Me-Not ended with everyone dead, and there was a happy ending to it, so I figured it was worth it. No one is off the table for me, as long as their death is treated with dignity and given the weight it deserves. 
I may end up breaking my own rules in the future. I have a plot bunny that won’t leave me alone and it would wind up ambiguous at best.

Writer asks! 

L, P and U for the fanfic asks?

L: How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?
It depends on how long the fic is. If it’s a one-shot I don’t really do much with it. If I’ve written it and it’s somewhat logical I’ll run it through a grammar checker so I don’t post any huge stupid mistakes and then post. 
If it’s a fic chapter, well, that depends, too. A lot of the time I do the same thing I do with one-shots, especially if I’m tired and sick of it and just want to get it out there. That usually works pretty well as long as I have the main plot hammered down.
If it’s a bang fic I will revise it probably half a dozen times. I don’t usually sit down and comb through it all at once though, I’ll just go chapter by chapter and move things, add things, take things out, basically whatever I need to do to make the whole thing sharper. 

P: Are you what George R. R. Martin would call an “architect” or a “gardener”? (How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?)
In this analogy, I would be a gardener. I hate pre-writing work. It always seems useless to me. Like, why do I need to outline everything and know all these character relationships before I write? Why can’t I just figure it out on my own while I go? 
Most of the time I will have a few “tent poles”; things I want or need to hit while writing that facilitates the plot. I may jot down notes for what I think should happen or what I want to happen per chapter, but if I don’t it’s usually because something more interesting happened or the characters decided to react in a completely different way than I was expecting. Personally, I love that about writing. I love being surprised. I don’t enjoy having the whole thing planned out before I even start because then it feels like I’m just filling out a form and I’ll have no drive to actually do it. 

U: Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.
Okay, let me see… hmmm… obviously I have a lot of favorites, but I’m going to suggest some multishippers who need more love because I know you’d like that. Also, like, these are pretty much just the last three authors in my history. If you’re not on the list its not because I don’t like your fic, it’s just that these are the last three I read. I can always give a more comprehensive list of people everyone should read (imo) later or if someone asks for it. These people do deserve to be read, though.

Stacey is a good friend of mine and my usual beta. We usually wind up giving each other all kinds of bad ideas [read: amazing ideas we have no time for] when we talk and I know that Stacey has a few ideas I would die to read. There isn’t a whole lot on the ao3 ATM but everything I’ve read is fabulous. There is a buttload of minor character love in every fic, rare pairs everywhere in the background and forefront, and the dialogue is amazing. Also, Stacey is pretty bitter about what the show did to Ketch, so he’s probably gonna show up a lot in future fics. I’d suggest If You Ketch My Drift (Dean/Ketch) if you haven’t read it already because holy crap is it great. The dialogue is fun and wonderful and the stories these characters tell (particularly the princess puke story) make me so happy. It really feels like listening to a group of friends shoot the breeze with each other.

I haven’t spoken with Chrissy much but I freaking love everything she writes. I just finished reading Lesbian Adjacent (Anna/Ruby) (and need to leave a comment today – don’t let me forget) and wow. Like, I just adore everything she’s written. I love the way she writes Meg, especially (because I fucking love Meg) and her femslash is out of this world. Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever read anything from her that I didn’t like. It’s all marvelous and the amount of fic she’s able to put out kinda blows my mind. Also, a lot of her stuff is pretty funny, too.

So much Sam/Max! Unfortunately, I have not read all her stuff and I need to catch up on it (currently reading Almighty Aphrodite, which is Dean/Cas) but I know I will because her fic is fantastic.  There’s a good does of Sam in so many things and I love that because I need more Sam fics in my life. There’s so much to read, too so I’m fairly certain there’s something for everyone. I think the best thing is that even when these characters are in AUs, they feel like themselves and that’s always wonderful to see and sometimes hard to do.
