I do wear high heels. Not frequently enough to justify having 20 pairs, but I do wear them from time to time.
In terms of humanity’s inherent morality/immorality, I tend to believe that humankind is about 51% moral and 49% immoral. Like, “moral” and “immoral” are such vague concepts but I generally think humankind wants to be better and wants to be moral but what’s “moral” is super dependent on where a person is in the world and in their lives. (Like, is it moral to punish a person for overkill if they kill in self-defense? I’d say no, but there are states that would disagree with me.) But like, humankind as a whole over the entire course of human history does seem to try to go forward and make things better for people, even if we backslide sometimes. So I’m pretty okay with saying we, as a whole are 51% moral.
I love clouds. 🙂 I wish I got to see more of them on any given day, but I live in a desert so I see like one a day.

So, just ramble? Yeah, I can do that.
So I’ve been thinking recently about the way fan fic is done, right? And one thing that really makes me wonder is why certain things are just… accepted in fan fic and that’s the way it is. Like, we have certain storylines we stick to a lot and I have no idea why that is. Obviously, it’s because we like them but I have to question why we don’t start breaking down those tropes and bending them to our wills. Like, why do fake dating aus always end with the couple getting together soon after? I’d like to see that dragged out. Like, it’s six months after and someone’s grandma asks “where’s so-and-so? I liked them.” “Oh, we broke up.” “But why??” and then it’s like this elaborate fake exes thing as well (because it can never be easy in fan fic, right?). That could be fun. It just seems like fan fic is the best place to turn all the standards on their heads.
Also, why are there stock bad guys? I get it, they were bad in canon (or we perceived them that way) but why don’t we try to change it up? Like fricken Balthazar. Why Balthazar? Can someone explain that to me? Bartholomew is way douchier. Like, if there are a few past relationships in a longer fic I can almost always tell you what the ex was like. (Balth cheated, Meg was a bitch, Lisa was controlling/cheating/pressuring, Benny was an occasional fling, Aaron was a brief first experience, etc etc.) Like, I get it, they’re standards for a reason but why? Thankfully a lot of the people I interact with tend to shy away from these fandom cliches/standards, but I kinda want it to be the start of a trend. Like, people can be exes for other reasons. Sometimes it’s just that things didn’t work out. Sometimes people can be friends after.

Check, Please! I mean, it makes sense because I think it’s pretty much only on tumblr and twitter, but I had no idea what anyone was talking about when they reblogged zimbits stuff for almost a year. So eventually I got curious and checked it out. It’s about hockey and the main pairing is a canon m/m couple so that’s cool. It’s not 100% for me though. It’s cute but maybe a little too cute.

Oh, man, uh….
So, I’m neutral on Mick. I don’t hate him or anything, I just don’t like him as much as everyone else seemed to. BUT Mick was a genuinely nice guy who really did want to do what he thought was the right thing and he had the guts to look Hess in the eyes and tell her he was out. That takes a buttload of fortitude.
P – Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas)
AU in which reincarnation is a thing and we see our choice pairing (or pairings or polyship or whatever) navigate various time periods in different relationships (siblings, best friends, cousins, right person wrong time, etc.). I actually have a few things I’d liked to see under this umbrella and all of them involve deity interference. It’s hard to explain without getting too specific but one involves Dean/Cas/Meg with established Deity!Dean and Deity!Meg and reincarnated!Cas. But there are a lot of characters this could work for.
OOOOH! And Jazz music AUs.
I’d also like to see modern AUs that deal more with different religions. That’s probably just me but I like that stuff.

U – Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.
This is hard. Uh…. I don’t think I fandom outside of SPN much.
I’m just gonna talk about three characters I love but I’m not talking about TFW because everyone knows I love them.
Meg: I love Meg a whole lot. I liked her when she was bad and I liked her when she was an ally. She’s always been my favorite demon and I really miss her.
Star Trek (tos/aos): Bones. I love how much of a curmudgeon Bones is like 90% of the time. It’s like he’s always disapproving of the situation he’s in but he secretly kinda loves it so… I dunno. I just related. Also, I would be the same way in space. It’d be cool to go but space also sucks. I really like Carl Urban’s Bones even though I’m also a fan of DeForest Kelley’s original take.
Doctor Who: Martha Jones. Fuck, I loved Martha. She was almost more The Doctor than The Doctor was and I just love her to death. I haven’t watched DW in forever, but I know I still love her so that’s something. She and Donna were my favorites.

K – What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?
That’s really hard because I was just literally talking to my brother about this and how so many characters have been/are stuck in neutral in respect to their development right now.
I think it’s a tie between seasons 1-5 Sam and seasons 4-8 Cas. They both start in similar places (established routine they’re okay with) and wind up completely changing. Unfortunately, neither of them have seen much development since then which bugs me but I liked the paths they went down, including blood addict!Sam and Godstiel.
N – Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice)
1. Female characters in fic that aren’t either a) the terrible ex b) trying to ruin the main pairing c) some other flavor of generally bad unless they’re the lesbian little sister (yeah, y’all know what I’m talking about).
2. Perfectly good and wonderful side characters who either were good in canon (Balthazar) or haven’t been in canon enough (Michael) treated like horrible villains.
3. Less argument over dumb stuff, more multishipping. 🙂

Some Things Last is so special to me. I really couldn’t make it easy on any of them because well, that would be too easy. 😉 They all had to grow and work through their own issues alone and together. And yeah, it was important to me that Dean not only has some issues believing that he couldn’t be a part of what Cas and Jimmy were together but that he act on that. All three of them are ridiculously stubborn and that had to have consequences.

who’s the cuddler: Dean. He’s a hugger by nature, and when he’s most comfortable when he has Sam and Cas wrapped up together with him.
who makes the bed: Dean. Sam gets the corners wrong and Cas doesn’t care so it’s up to Dean.
who wakes up first: Sam. He likes to exercise in the morning. Dean’s next, usually up to make coffee and breakfast and Cas eventually rolls out of bed last.
who has the weird taste in music: Sam. He likes the weirdest stuff, 90% of which Dean has no patience for.
who is more protective: Dean. It’s kind of ingrained into him to protect Sam, so when Cas was added to the mix it was natural to protect both of them. But of course, Cas is willing to do anything for Sam and Dean and Sam’s pretty damn scary when Dean or Cas need him.
who sings in the shower: Dean. And poorly.
who cries during movies: Again, Dean. Though, there was the Steel Magnolias incident in which all three of them cried like babies. I suppose it depends on what they’re watching.
who spends the most while out shopping: Cas. Sam and Dean never had a lot growing up so they’re pretty tight with their money (even if they don’t really have to worry about it). Cas is much more willing to buy them all things they want but don’t need.
who kisses more roughly: Sam. He knows both Cas and Dean can take it, and he’s more than a little demanding at times.
who is more dominate: Personality wise, it’s Dean. He’s louder and much brasher than either of them. In the bedroom, it’s Cas. He’s bossy. (Though there are times when Sam gives Cas a run for his money.)
gets jealous the most: It’s not that Cas is jealous, it’s just that he feels insecure a lot of the time. Sam and Dean are bonded in a way he’ll never hope to replicate with anyone. Sam sometimes gets a little jealous of how Dean and Cas always seem to be on the same wavelength even when they butt heads. Dean is a little jealous of all Sam and Cas have in common. (He did try to express interest, but some of the podcasts they listen to him make him want to tear his hair out.)
one headcanon I have: I think one of my favorite headcanons/tropes is that Cas is the whole reason it happens. Like, Dean and Sam have had entirely unbrotherly feelings for each other for years, but they don’t say or do anything about it until Cas decides he’d like to sleep with both of them. So then it’s threesomes with strict “no touching” rules and then maybe coincidental touching is okay. And then, okay, it’s not really that bad if it’s just kissing, right? It’s just kissing. And well, if it’s DP it’s only coincidental that Dean and Sam’s dicks touch. Right? That’s not incest or bad, right? Then… well, maybe Dean can’t help it if Cas is giving him an order to touch Sam, right? He could say no but he maybe doesn’t want to. And then somehow Cas walks in one them making out in the kitchen with a smug as fuck smile. Then everyone’s happy!

nicknames: They’re not really “for” nicknames, just more snide terms of endearment. (”bitch” “jerk”) But I would bet that Dean only calls Cas “sunshine” when he’s being a grump and Cas usually enjoys calling Dean “asshole”. Sam doesn’t usually get passive aggressive nicknames thrown at him from Cas.
