Hey there. I know it’s probably not a good time to ask, but when I think about you, I don’t know if to use she or he. I try to switch between them but my grammar obsessed side of the brain starts getting angry… What to choose?

Oh, no worries. It’s all good.

For the most part, she is usually fine. If switching back and forth is difficult, I totally understand that. It’s definitely a little different. And, if you’re switching back and forth between sentences or in sentences (like if you were to say “She writes fanfic. His pirate Au is a lot of fun to read.”) does get a little confusing. If you want to pick just one and stick to it, that’s fine with me. I’m still trying to get used to it myself, and I do sometimes feel dysphoric referring to myself as “he” when I’m feeling particularly feminine. It’s a learning curve, and I’m getting used to it, too.

But I appreciate the fact that you asked. And never worry about asking me questions like this. I don’t mind them at all.

If you ever become a parent, would you be a mom or a dad? A mom that tells dad jokes? A dad that had a mom voice? Both? Neither? Sorry I’m nosey…

No worries! I don’t mind questions at all!

I’ve actually thought about this a bit. I’m not big on the whole, pregnancy thing. It’s just not really something I want, but I do want to be a parent some day so adoption is probably the way I’d like to go. (It kinda runs in my family, anyway.)

I don’t really like any of the non-binary alternatives to “mom” or “dad” that I’ve seen so far. “Ren” is one I’ve seen but that seems too much like a name to me and I just don’t like it. Currently, I’m kind of thinking Mom and Dad would be fine with me but that might change. I’m also not 100% sure how to approach that with my child(ren) or teachers or other people who would ask. But I suppose I’ll cross that bridge when I eventually get to it.

Also, I already tell a lot of dad jokes, so no matter what I’m covered there. lol.

*all of them* for destiel? (I’m sorry, I don’t have a functioning emoji keyboard on my phone….)

❤: who is more affectionate in public? in private?
Dean sneaks kisses in public. Cas likes to snuggle when they’re alone.
: who is the bigger romantic openly? secretly?
It depends on what you consider romantic. For Dean and Cas, it’s the little things that mean a lot. Dean holds open doors and pulls out chairs for Cas. Cas lets Dean convince him to get desert and lets Dean eat most of it. Dean gives gifts, Cas listens and gets Dean the new boots he had his eyes on. It’s very understated and most people wouldn’t see it as romantic, but they do.
: who is more likely to plan something big for valentine’s day?
Dean would give a really good attempt but in the end neither of them want a lot of flowers or special dinners. It’s a little awkward, actually. But they’re happy and that’s all that matters.
ღ: who is more likely to initiate hand-holding in public?
Cas. He does it so often sometimes Dean forgets Cas is holding on to him and tries to use both hands to do things.
💕: who is more likely to make huge declarations of love in front of other people?
I would have said Dean for literally ever but Cas is the type to do it, too.
💘: who developed a crush on the other first?
Dean. He knew he was attracted to Cas first. Cas had more alterous feels at first.
💝: who spends more time (possibly overthinking) what presents to get the other?
Dean. Cas has a list of things he knows Dean will always like, but Dean is always worried it’s too much or not enough.
💓: who initiates most physical contact?
It’s about even.
💌: who is more likely to send cutesy texts to the other?
Cas. Always with emojis.
💟: who spends time reading their zodiac compatibilities?
Neither of them put much stock into that kind of thing.
💙: who is more protective?
Cas maybe has Dean beat but not by much.
💚: who tends to get sick more often? who is better at taking care of the other?
If we’re talkin’ both human it’s totally Cas. He *knows* you’re not supposed to walk out in the middle of winter without shoes but it was literally five feet. Also, he has virtually no immune system.
💜: who said “i love you” first? or, if neither has said it yet, who is more likely to say it first?
Castiel.
💛: who believes in soulmates?
Well, they both know soulmates exist but Dean’s always been a little angry about the fact that they do exist. It’s one of those “what about free will” things for him. He would rather have his love life dictated by choice instead of angelic interference.

Thanks!

💌💝❤💘💛💙💜💚💕❤ dean/Jo

💌: who is more likely to send cutesy texts to the other?
Neither of them are really into “cutesy” but Dean will occasionally send Jo something that borders on sappy when he’s thinking about her.
💝: who spends more time (possibly overthinking) what presents to get the other?
Dean. No matter how many times Jo says “just get me a bow” or “I want new throwing knives” he always worries that shopping for his girlfriend in the sporting goods section makes him weird. Granted, that doesn’t mean he won’t do it (or that he doesn’t decide to get a new long bow engraved with her name on it) he just feels like he should do more.
❤: who is more affectionate in public? in private?
Jo is definitely more affectionate in public. It’s kinda of a way of bragging. They’re tied for private affection, though.
💘: who developed a crush on the other first?
Jo. Totally Jo.
💛: who believes in soulmates?
Neither of them do. They’re just happy that the two of them fit together so well. But, Dean does have a suspicion that there are probably only a handful of people he could make it work long term with and Jo is one of them.
💙: who is more protective?
Dean. Jo hates it. She can take care of herself but he’s stubborn and protective so she just rolls her eyes and goes with it.
💜: who said “i love you” first? or, if neither has said it yet, who is more likely to say it first?
Jo. In a quiet moment, she tells him she loves him. Dean may have a little bit of an internal freak out though.
💚: who tends to get sick more often? who is better at taking care of the other?
They’re both pretty healthy, but Dean a better nurse. Part of that is because he mother hens like no one’s business and part of that is because when he’s sick he’s terribly whiny and Jo just can’t deal with it all the time.
💕: who is more likely to make huge declarations of love in front of other people?
Dean, especially if he just kind of blurts it out. I imagine this happening after a fight and Dean just kinda bursts into The Roadhouse, pouring his heart out while Ellen watches deciding whether or not she should smack him for upsetting her baby or to pat him on the back because it was kinda sweet.
(the last one just shows up as a red heart so I don’t know what it is.)

Thanks!

Shippy things!

deanbenny is great! thank you so much. i really appreciate you for doing it, even though it wasn’t a big deal :)

Anon, never worry about asking me to tag anything. It literally takes two seconds for me to do and it lets you create the tumblr experience you want. I’m always up for tagging literally anything, so don’t worry about it.

Plus, I’d be kind of a hypocrite if I minded it. It’s my job to accurately tag my posts so they can be blacklisted. That’s how fandom works and everyone gets the most out of it. 🙂

could you tag your dean & benny posts as not just denny, but also/or dean x benny? of all silly things, i don’t want to blacklist denny because then the funny denny’s posts also get blacklisted, but i also don’t really like seeing that pairing on my dash. sorry for the bother!

Sure. Would dean/benny be okay with you? I don’t like using the x’s in between ships ‘cause I think it’s odd but I can do the slashes if you’re alright with that. Or deanbenny without the slash in between the names?

“Cross stitched flowers”

The Campbell family quilt was a tradition passed down from mother to daughter as far back as anyone could remember. Their quilting was a way to tell the stories of their lives, of their families, of who they are.

When Mary died in a house fire, it was assumed that her quilt and her tradition died with her. That was until, upon their father’s death, Dean and Sam discovered their mother’s quilt in a hope chest their father kept in storage. Now, Sam and Dean learn to carry on the family tradition, learning about the legacy their mother left them and adding to their own through the people they love, the people they lose, and the families they make both together and apart.

Send me a title, I’ll tell you what I’d write!
