I wrote 4010 words this weekend which was within my goal but on the low end.
You know what’s cool about headcanons? They can be a way of re-contextualizing a character’s thoughts, behavior, and words. They can be a form of interpretation and they’re fun to partake in.
Headcanons aren’t fact. They’re not canon. They can be based on stuff from the canon work, but just because one person has one headcanon doesn’t mean another can’t have a contradictory headcanon.
So, for example, if I headcanon a character as aromantic and I have reasons given the text (and my own personal experience) my headcanon isn’t lesser than anyone else’s. We can all have headcanons that coexist, even if they don’t gel together. My interpretation isn’t “surface level” just because I don’t agree with the majority interpretation and headcanoning of the character.
okay the whole deancas aesthetic of desperately fucking each other is really good and so is the intense thing they have going on where they move slow and look into each other’s eyes and all that jazz but like here me out:
what about all those times they’re just utter dorks?
when they go on a ‘date’ in the middle of a hunt and are so drunk and clumsy when they make it back to the motel that dean ends up rolling off the bed and then has to take three showers because the germs cas jesus christ while cas just giggles until he can’t breathe
when sam says he’s going into town for something and’ll be back by three, which gives them two hours of uninterrupted alone time and cas hurts his back against the library bookshelves: this was much less romantic than it looked in that movie. yeah, c’mon, I’ll get you an ice pack
when they have the giggles and literally just can’t get through one sex act without uncontrollably laughing
when they keep their socks on but don’t notice until after the fact because they literally just forgot about them. dean looks down, snorts, and goes dude
when cas decides he wants to try food play and so like covers the floor in blankets and a plastic sheet because this way, clean up will be fast, but every time he smears cherry pie filling across dean’s body dean can’t keep it together. also he pretends to die. dramatically. ahhh noooo please castiel, not my perfectly freckled left ass cheek! argh, goodbye cruel world! cas is not impressed
when they actually try food play and cas’s pubes get sticky and gross. the upside is that dean helps him (finally) trim all the gunky parts off. still, cas is not impressed
when they decide to give bondage a try and cas literally breaks the headboard. holy shit batman. dean is the only one to be tied up from there on out
when dean convinces cas to try roleplaying and manages to get him in ass-less chaps and a cowboy hat, but while he rides a half-clothed castiel all he can do say: yeehaw, ride ‘em cowboy, and make cowboy-related jokes. which cas laughs at.
when they decide to try other positions and end up falling all over each other: wait, put your arm– cas, babe, that is not where that goes– dean, here, wrap your leg around—dean sprains his shoulder. they throw the joy of (gay) sex in the nearest trash can
when they decide to try other positions—this time, I got a winner for us, babe—but it’s… kind of boring? are you into this? not really, are you? no so they flip over and cas drills into dean hard. there, now i can look you in the eye while I fuck you. okay cas.
Galactic Tentacles SPNColdestHits’ November Prompt (Posting Dates 15-20) extended time because of NaNoWriMo
@formidablepassion won October’s Writing Challenge, which means she gets to pick the theme for November, and she’s decided on Galactic Tentacles!
Your fic needs to be about tentacles and/or GalacticCap (the link isn’t quite work safe, but it’s not pr0n and is about as work safe as you can get when talking about a new type of condom). Even if you pick one instead of both, they both need to be mentioned in the fic.
There are also multiple bonus -point opportunities this time:
-100 points if the GalacticCap is somehow used on a tentacle
-10 and 20+ the receiver per AO3 comment but only the first 5 count and they must be thoughtful comments (one word or random things won’t count)
slip a dick/vagina/asshole into your banner promo somehow and you’ll get -points per promo: -5 for obvious, -10 for camouflaged, -15 if it’s a subtle pattern like a background, -20 points for one so well hidden you have to draw a red circle around it for the mods to see it (but it has to actually be there!)
-10 per podfic if you somehow subtly sneak in the words (or what sounds like) dick pic
Oh and just because Maya is evil if we think you didn’t read the fic and you’re commenting, kudosing, and promoing anyway, you’ll get +1000 points, so be sure to read!!

today some guy very confidently ordered a “Busted Nut Parfait” on drive thru without hesitation and i had to ask if he meant a peanut buster parfait without crying
update: today someone asked for a peanut buster parfait with “light syrup and heavy nut” and i laughed from the ice cream machine and he heard me
Writing fiction *is* a good place to work through traumatic events. But it’s gotta be at our own pace. It’s good it’s your brain suggesting it though
For sure. Fiction is a great place to work through trauma. This particular instance is about teacher’s abusing their students (physically and mentally), which is something I’ve been wanting to do something about for a while but this is actually a great place to do it. So I’m really glad my brain suggested it.
