Makes it super uncomfortable like ‘ouch dude’ and yeah, wouldn’t get close to the guy.
Good. That’s what I’m going for 🙂 Thank you!
Is anyone awake?
Okay, quick question – if a man were to be described as looking like “he’d been sitting on his own balls for the past twenty years” is that a) funny? and b) conveying a sense that this dude looks really unhappy, uncomfortable, and generally pissed off?
Do you ever just read something and just like… weep for the basic understanding of things like story structure and general logic.
They’re already running election ads in my state and I gotta say, the one dude who’s opening line was “I was hired by Obama and fired by Trump” knows exactly how to get me interested in voting for him.
1 year and 1 month ago, I did a little photoshoot with the kids wings and my trenchcoat and tie…. the intent was to use this for a graphite portrait. I never got around to it.
But i’m doing @theroadsofararchive April Challenge (Wings!) and not only is that right up my alley, this picture was perfect for it – and I decided to try and do something a little different.
my realism is ALWAYS based off photos and ALWAYS graphite* (*unless its a city skyline – then i prefer ink*) so i figured, why not try digital?
In the Animated Gif – you can clearly see my process – the original photo. I still started with lineart so i knew what i wanted to do and i started simple. only 3 colors so i wouldn’t go crazy with layers. (I still had 5 wing layers, 4 tie layers and 2 trenchcoat layers and 2 for lineart)
I forgot to capture it, but when i took the lineart off after i colored it, the wings looked the worst – i had to do a lot of edge softening for it to look right once the line work was off.
i… i really really like this! i’m gonna put it on my society 6 shop soon i think, and make it a print.
i think – oh oh! i’ll have Misha sign this 😀 what do you think @li-izumi ?
