Imo, I think you’ve already found what works, you just don’t like treating or rewarding yourself. You might wanna ask yourself why you’re so set on going for stubbornness when other solutions have proved effective (at least in the past).
It’s true that I don’t like rewarding myself, but right now I just want to move my butt on this one thing. I wanna be done with it and I have been playing with other things in the meantime and giving myself time to relax, but I do genuinely need to get moving on it if I want to finish by the end of the year.
Honestly I have no idea… Sometimes I just can’t make words work for a certain project. That’s part of why I work on multiple projects, so I can move *somewhere* and write *something*
I know that feeling. I’ve discovered that I can’t not have multiple projects to work on because sometimes I just need a break. It helps tremendously.
I’m just really trying to get one thing done. I want it out of the way before the end of the year and the finish line is in sight but that’s one of the times I tend to freeze the worst.

Okay so according to @ltleflrt @unforth-ninawaters and @oddsocksandstuff the secret is finding something you really want like treats or fic and not letting yourself have it until you finish the project. Also sheer stubbornness. Thanks guy!
