I like this idea and would definately read it. My reasons for ships are usually emotional reactions and not anything I could express in a reason literary way though. I’m also frequently paranoid by disagreeing or saying I see something one way I inadvertently put down someone elses, which is never my intention.

I totally understand. I think “I just like it” is totally a valid reason for shipping something, honestly. I’m honestly less interested in an “I ship it because in episode 7 of season 8…blah blah blah” and more interested in what’s at the core of people’s understanding of that ship. Like for me, I have one question that’s “If you could describe your ship in one word, what would it be?” and I think that’s the most important question. I have several ships I could describe in one word, and I think that really heps me understand what the emphasis is on in a shipper’s mind.

Just so you know, I’m always okay with disagreement. Like, I may not change my mind, but I think disagreement is healthy and allows us all to see other people’s views. I have my own biases and opinions, but I don’t take anything too personally. Something may bug the fuck out of my and I may never understand it, but I don’t hold that against anyone. This first little questionarie is informal, but if enough people are interested I might throw it out there as an anonymous questionaire. Obvioulsy, it won’t be scientific or formal but I’m always interested in what people think and feel. And anonymous questionaries are good for allowing people to say what they want and need to without worrying about disagreement. So, I totally understand the concern.
