Especially when they start that “I don’t see how you can ship this” thing. Like. I didn’t realize I needed to come up with an essay for why it’s okay for me to ship a rare pair you don’t like??

There’s a weird vein of fandom that insists that we have a “reason” to ship some things. Like, hell, I dunno, I ship ‘em ’cause I can. Goober A has a nice face and Goober B has a bad attitude, that’s enough for me. I enjoy character dynamics.
And like the whole “I don’t ship this but…” “I don’t see it but…” like, I didn’t ask? Also, I don’t get why it’s relevant. Are people gonna get mad because you might ship the thing? Well then screw ’em.
