Honestly a lot of fics are horrible for making side characters cardboard. Even some of the dudes are just there to make a scene pass by so we can just get back to our main pairing. Like this is totally fine for short fics but when you get into long fic and it’s just 50k of only the main pairing I tend to get bored.

I feel like when it comes to short fic you’re kinda stuck in an odd place where you either gotta give a few side characters lines and the rest are silent or you give everyone something and then it’s longer than you expected. Which, I’m not going to complain about more of your stuff because it’s awesome.
But yeah, I get bored with 50k of only two people.
